<Review>

To go over a few things I felt in this book, first, I thought Winnie wasn’t as spoiled as I thought she would. In most stories, children from the rich often were spoiled and characterized as rude. However, the character of Winnie left the biggest impact the most because she was generous to all living things, and just wanted to be free from the strictness in her home. Second was how thoughtful Winnie became as she grew older. Even though the book shows only her childhood at 10 years old and her death at the epilogue, it still shows how she didn’t follow the Tucks by drinking the water. By accepting her death, I think it showed her maturity as she got older. The last impact I got was from the man in the yellow suit. In my opinion, the aura that was described in the book about the man got my attention the most and without this character, the story wouldn’t have been as entertaining. Even if every story has an antagonist, I thought the man in the yellow suit was what we think of a stereotypically ‘evil’ man, and that got my mind into the story the most.
