<Review>
For myself, the first thing I felt after reading this book was amazement. There were a few causes for this. Firstly, the trying and expanding of the Dead Poets Society club seemed extraordinary to me. Welton Academy seemed like the strictest school I had ever seen, but the boys’ courage felt amazing for me. Secondly, Mr. Keating himself was surprising for me. He was the original ‘root’ of the Dead Poets Society. His bravery was also what made me respect him, even as an imaginary person. Normally, most teachers, because of the fear of getting cut off as a teacher, they wouldn’t tell any of the students of what they did during their youths. However, I think Mr. Keating’s devotion for poetry was what incited to create this club in the first place. That was the biggest thing that made me keep on reading this book.
